Updates and FAQs

Hey Crossing family!

We want to care for one another and our community well. That means being cautious and taking prudent steps to protect the most vulnerable among us. Because we are a people of faith, not fear, we are proactive, seeking God’s wisdom, listening to the advice of medical professionals, and acting with purpose.

How are other Crossing gatherings affected?
All Crossing Groups have now resumed in their normal meeting places–homes, restaurants, and parks.

How can I stay updated?
As a church family, we are committed to keeping you up to speed. We send regular text and email updates; you can also go to CrossingCentral for our weekly Sunday update. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for our daily 90SecondChurch video devotionals at bit.ly/CrossingYouTube

What can I do?
Over the past two years, the uncertainty of this outbreak has disrupted our lives and caused a great deal of anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities. Yet we remain confident of God’s faithful presence and careful attention to all that is happening. So let’s respond in several ways:

1) Pray for those affected by this illness; pray for our community and businesses that are struggling; pray for our overworked medical workers; pray for government leaders. Pray also for our teachers and students!

2) Pray for our church and continue to partner with us financially. Two-thirds of us give online; if you’re not one of them, this would be a great time to start! We want to be in a position to meet the needs that God brings before us. Go to bit.ly/CrossingGive and it will help you set up ongoing electronic giving.

3) This is an opportunity to shine the light and hope of Jesus! Look for ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around you! Maybe it is bringing a meal, buying groceries for a shut-in, or simply checking in on some neighbors. Here’s how we’re saying it these days: Have need? Ask us. Have means? Help us.

4) Practice health safety:
* If you or a family member is sick, stay home
* Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
* If you or someone you know tests positive for COVID-19, let us know immediately so we can help and take any necessary precautions.

As Psalm 46 reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!

God is with us! We love and appreciate you, and are praying for you! If there is any way we can help you, please let us know.

In this together through the power and peace of Christ,
Pastor Kendal
