Easter – Did Jesus Really Rise?
Series: Easter
In 2020, Lifeway Research asked American adults if they agreed or disagreed with this statement: 'Biblical acccounts of the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus are completely accurate.' An astonishing 66% of them agreed! Another 14% weren't sure. Only 20% said they disagree. So two out of three Americans adults believe Jesus rose from dead, but many of them don’t even go to church?! What's up with that?

I wonder if maybe the problem is that we don’t really understand why it matters that Jesus rose from dead. Right here, right now, what difference does Jesus' resurrection make? So, since it is Easter Sunday, let's talk about that! See you at the Grove :)

    Hyperlinks: Jesus, the Substitute
    Series: Hyperlinks
In our final week of the Hyperlinks series, we look at an astonishing truth found in Isaiah 53: Jesus died in our place, bearing the full weight of our burdens and worry and guilt, lifting it off of us and taking it away from us. And oh, how we need him to do that!

    Hyperlinks: Man of Sorrow
    Series: Hyperlinks
This week's hyperlink takes us to Isaiah 53, one of scripture's most fascinating passages. If you didn't know where it was found, you would assume it was a New Testament account of Jesus' crucifixion. But it was actually written 700 years before Jesus was born!
Oh--it also compares us to wandering sheep. Come find out how!

    The Journey Home: Celebrate
As we finish our Journey Home series, we find that in 52 days, Nehemiah and his team have accomplished what no one thought they could do--rebuilt the walls of the holy city of Jerusalem! There’s no doubt this has been done by power and presence God among them.
So how do you celebrate a wall? (Hint: there's a band and a parade!) And while we're asking, how do we celebrate God’s work in our lives and in our church? Let's explore it together!

    The Journey Home: REACH
In this week's installment of 'The Journey,' Nehemiah brings the wall-building project to a screeching halt to deal with something even more important. It's a great reminder for us not to get so caught up in the details of doing 'God's work' that we miss the needs he places right in front of us!

    The Journey Home: Facing Opposition
Any time you step out in faith, expect to face challenges. Sometimes we think if God in it, will be easy. Not so! Nearly every leader in scripture faced seemingly insurmountable challenges.

What kind? And how do we deal with them when they come? This Sunday in our 'Journey Home' series, we'll look at what Nehemiah's challenges and take our cues from him!

The Journey Home: It Takes a Team
Here's a biblical truth: God nearly always works through 'us,' not just 'me'. In this week's 'Journey Home,' we'll see how the team God brought around Nehemiah enabled him to do what he could never have done by himself. God works the same way today--he accomplishes his mission not through 'me' or 'you,' but through 'us' together at The Crossing!

    The Journey Home: FAITH
In week two of our series, 'The Journey Home - what God has for us next,' we ask, 'What does it look like to take a step of faith?' The first thing we'll discover? That following God's call is NOT safe!! But it's exactly where we want to be. Come find out what else we learn :)

The Journey Home: God Has a Dream for You
This Sunday we start a new series, 'The Journey Home'. It is subtitled 'getting ready for what God has next' because we are about to shift into a new gear at The Crossing. Sometime in the next few months, we will move into our new home--the one we’ve been waiting for and dreaming of for a very long time!
So we’re taking two months to prepare not only our hearts and minds, but also our systems, ministries, and volunteer teams. We want to be fully staffed and ready for whoever God brings us. Start praying now that God will show you how he wants you to be part of it! And let's take this journey together :)

Run a Great Race: A New Year Devotional
    Series: Fear Not
Did you know your body’s cells are constantly being renewed? Stomach cells turn over every 5 days; bone cells take 10 years. So most of the body you have now didn’t exist 10 years ago. See, there’s a basic principle in biology: living things grow and change. A living thing that’s not growing is dying.

What’s true with our bodies is also true with Christ. There’s no such thing standing still on your spiritual journey—you’re either moving forward or drifting backward. So today we talk about how to move forward in your relationship with God in 2023.
